Childhood

— Dana

Sometimes
I wonder what my daughter will
remember
when she looks back on her
childhood.

Hopefully,
she will remember all the
silly
things I did to entertain her while
I tried
to distract myself from the
heaviness
that comes with life and being an
adult.

Often,
I pray that God will help her
forget
the sorrows that have covered our
life
as a family, but then He reminds me that
character
is always built in the midst of suffering.

My daughter
will be one amazing character by the
time
she’s an adult. Today, I am
thankful
for the miracle that is my daughter.
