So, I was driving the other day, through Spokane, and a store had a sign that read, “Come here for all your boating needs.” Who in the world has actual boating needs? I can see boating wants. But boating needs? Maybe you could say that commercial fishermen have boating needs. But there’s no commercial fishing within 300 miles of here. Also, I suppose drowning people could have real boating needs, but they generally don’t have the luxury of going to the boating goods store, in the midst of their need.
Everyone else who is going to purchase boating paraphernalia is not going to be meeting their boating needs. They will be fulfilling their boating wants. That’s all. No needs about it.
